The aim of the English Language and Literature program is to train experts in the field of English Literature, which has a privileged place among world literatures, and to meet the need for personnel who are well versed in English and Western culture in many different fields in our country. It is aimed to gain the ability to establish interdisciplinary and intercultural connections and the ability to look at people, facts and events in a well-equipped and comparative way. For this purpose, throughout the 4-year education, our program offers courses examining different aspects of culture, literature and language. These courses include courses such as text analysis, translation, theory, mythology, American Literature and cultural studies. Our students who have the opportunity to choose a second foreign language course are aimed to specialize in the fields they are interested in (such as translation, theater, theory, psychology) thanks to other elective courses in the later stages of their education. With the help of this program, our students learn Western culture from different angles and learn about multidisciplinary.
