Speech and Language Therapy

Speech and Language Therapy is a science that covers the management and treatment of speech, language, communication and swallowing disorders in children and adults and improving the quality of life. A Speech and Language Therapist (DKT) is a person who evaluates children and adults with communication, language, speech and/or swallowing difficulties in terms of these problems and treats them through therapy. Graduates; are employed in schools, private clinics, hospitals, elderly homes, guidance centers, private rehabilitation centers, public health institutions, universities, relevant institutions affiliated to the Ministry of Health and research laboratories. Speech and Language Therapists can also work independently by opening their own therapy clinics.
