Electrical and Electronics Engineering is an engineering discipline covering the issues related to the design, development, maintenance, protection, control, economics, and management of systems operating with strong (electricity) and weak (electronic) currents. This engineering discipline offers solutions and products in many areas, such as communication, energy, defense industry, and health sector. Therefore, we always encounter an application of Electrical and Electronics Engineering, wherever energy is used. Electrical and Electronics Engineering, which can form a common interdisciplinary platform with various areas, is not a part of technical but also social and economic development and progress. Due to the developing and changing nature of the sector, engineers need to keep themselves up to date on new technologies. Electrical and Electronics engineers and researchers have critical duties and responsibilities so that we can be a society that not only uses the existing knowledge and technology but can think for itself, produce and keep up with the technological advances in the world.
Our department aims to implement a "student-centered" and an "interactive" program that adopts new teaching-learning techniques while adapting to the modern world in cooperation with other disciplines. With our flexible and multi-choice curriculum based on students' preferences, we aim to create a solid professional background for students and help students learning the interaction between this profession and complementary social and global issues. Thanks to the "Liberal Arts Education" philosophy adopted by TED University, our students can take "Common Core" courses and "Secondary Field" courses from other faculties. In addition, "Minor" and "Double Majors" programs are also offered for our students.
