Overview

The department of Architecture draws its inspiration on a fusion of the sciences, technology and the arts. Students are trained in the professional knowledge and skills needed by the successful architects of tomorrow, possessing advanced skills in design, sensitive to the needs of the human race, aware of the environment, and demonstrating a researching, questioning and reflective approach. Students are given every opportunity to reach their maximum potential during their university years. The language of tuition is English. The facilities for the theoretical and practical classes include classrooms and well equipped laboratories, with design studios which are exemplary in the sector.

Programme structure

Students are supported in gaining the necessary knowledge and professional skills, through such courses as Basic Design, Technology, Art and Architectural History, Building Information and Construction Techniques, Architectural Projects, Computer Aided Design and Advanced Presentation Techniques.

Career opportunities

Graduates of Architecture may work as designers in public and private sector construction projects. They can be employed as project managers or practitioners. They can also establish their own companies to work independently, designing and implementing projects on behalf of public or private sector organizations.
