Özyeğin University (ÖzÜ) Civil Engineering Department was founded in the academic year 2012 - 2013 and gave its first graduates in 2016. As of 2019, there are 11 faculty members conducting research and teaching in the fields of structural engineering, geotechnical engineering, earthquake engineering, construction management and construction materials. Department of Civil Engineering at ÖzÜ aims to educate civil engineers who follow, apply and develop new technological advancements, in terms of both design and implementation, and capable of working in different geographies. 

As being a research-oriented university, ÖzÜ offers Master and Doctorate programs in the Civil Engineering Department as well as the undergraduate program. Through the graduate programs and research projects, ÖzÜ Civil Engineering Department aims to contribute to the research mission of the university by developing new methods, technology and knowledge as well as providing students the skills of generating advanced level knowledge, conducting independent research and flexibility in applications.
