Design and Innovation for Sustainable Food Systems Master's Program" aims to develop creative and innovative solutions to the problems that the food system faces on a global, national and local scale by integrating the methods, knowledge and approaches of different disciplines (science, engineering, social sciences, humanities,architecture and design etc.) into design and innovation processes using  a systems framework.

The holder of this diploma can use multidisciplinary design and innovation tools effectively to improve the sustainability (outcomes) of the food system.

S/he can use a food systems framework (including food system activities, actors, interactions, outcomes and their determinants) to identify, understand and analyse food system problems.

S/he can define the sustainability outcomes of the food system, evaluate the trade-offs between them, identify and describe the determinants of each outcome and the food system interactions that affect them.

S/he has knowledge of the food systems at the global, national, regional and local levels.
