Establishment: The Phytotherapy Master’s Program was initialized in 2006 under the Institute of Health Sciences, Yeditepe University.

Aim: To raise highly skilled students with master’s degree who are able to apply modern scientific methods in the field of phytotherapy and biological sciences with an interdisciplinary approach.

Objective: The main objective of this program is to provide the ability to evaluate the the major role of plants in human health according to scientific data. Graduates are aimed to possess the features below:

• To evaluate the bioavailability, pharmacodynamics and pharmacokinetics of plant constituents,
• To appraise the use of plant products in both prophylaxis and treatment of diseases, their modes of action, doses and dosage forms together with their risk assessment.
• To solve problems using analytical tools and scientific data and literature

Qualification: Subsequent to graduation, the graduates are entitled to receive master’s degree in the field of Phytotherapy.
