Industrial design is a problem identification, planning and solving process. Organizations serving in various sectors in the industry need new approaches that produce creative solutions in order to determine and meet the constantly changing product and service needs in parallel with the cultural, economic, political and technological movement in the society. Industrial design, which is an important factor in the success of industrial organizations in this context, has become a collaborative, interdisciplinary and multi-interactive creative problem solving process in recent years. Industrial designers are playing an increasingly important role in constructing users' interactions with products, services and systems.

TED University Department of Industrial Design (TEDU ID), which started teaching in the 2018-2019 academic year and adopts the principle of user-centered design for a better life, attaches importance to the development of creative and practical problem-solving skills of its students. In addition, increasing the aptitude for collaboration, teamwork and co-creation processes needed by designers in professional life; It aims to develop basic skills that are at the center of the design process, such as user-oriented research, conceptual product development for identified needs, modelling, prototyping and final product evaluation.
