Since its establishment in 2000, Haliç University Computer Engineering Department aims to train innovative, inquisitive Computer Engineers who can meet the requirements of Computer Engineering, master current technologies, take part in research and development processes, and manage related processes.

Our students studying in our department can specialize in areas such as Computer Software, Computer Hardware, Network security, Big Data, Virtual Reality, Artificial Intelligence by taking elective courses that will improve themselves in addition to the basic courses of Computer Science. Today, especially students who want to improve themselves in the field of Virtual Reality can take part in Virtual Reality projects carried out in our university by taking our related courses such as Graphics on Computer, Mobile Programming, and touch the future. In order for our students to follow the latest developments, to study and participate in international studies, English education is provided in our department.

Our students are graduated as competent Engineers in Computer Engineering with our academic staff specialized in different fields with international experience and comprehensive laboratory facilities. For this purpose, our students are encouraged to carry out their project work and innovative ideas with the university industry partnership.

In addition to equipping our students as competent engineers in the field of Computer Science, their participation in our double major and minor programs is especially supported.

 Our undergraduate students can work in private and public institutions in every field where technological developments exist. Today, over 600 graduates work in finance, telecommunications, gsm technologies, cyber security and many other fields, and contribute to the national and international IT sector.

Our students who want to improve themselves in Computer Engineering by getting a Master's degree can study in one of our master's programs with and without thesis and increase their level of expertise in this field. In order to support our students' participation in classes, our classes are held in the evening.
